The location was perfect, close to the forest Lagoon and a short drive to the city center. The bedroom had a beautiful view of the fjord and the hills surrounding the area. The hot tub was a lovely addition and easy to use.
The upstairs bedroom was not suitable for adults, lacking basic amenities like a wardrobe or shelf.

During our Christmas stay, we really appreciated the stunning view of the illuminated city at night. It was truly magical. the hot tub was also a major highlight for us. We spent many cozy evenings soaking in its warmth, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Our experience was not without its drawbacks. we had difficulty contacting the host to gain access to the apartment.

We had a wonderful romantic escape and enjoyed the stunning views along the fjords and mountains. The location was perfect for day trips to Myvatn, Grojotaja, Godafoss falls, and Skjalfandafljot. We also loved the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bed which made our stay pleasant.
the property was not well-maintained with an overgrown yard and no proper driveway. the lack of cooking utensils in the kitchen was inconvenient, especially the absence of a spatula.

The location of the cottages is just outside the city, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The cottages are well-equipped with kitchens, allowing guests to cook their own meals and save money. The hot tubs are a great addition, providing a relaxing experience after a day of exploring.
The initial impression of the decor may be disappointing, as it is described as industrial style and can feel sterile.

My stay at Viking Cottages & Apartments was absolutely amazing. The property is secluded with a breathtaking view overlooking the city. The cottage had a cozy and modern-rustic feel, making it a truly unique and interesting place to stay. I loved relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The provided linens, robes, and washing machine were convenient amenities. The shower in the cottage was also a standout feature, providing a luxurious experience. The location was perfect, with downtown Akureyri just a short drive away. I had a fantastic time at Viking Cottages & Apartments and would highly recommend it.
Although my stay was wonderful, I did encounter a couple of minor inconveniences. The hot tub was not covered and didn't look inviting, which was unfortunate.

The apartments were beautifully decorated with a warm, woody theme. The upstairs bedroom had a window with a lovely view of Akureyri. The kitchen was well-equipped and the hot tub was a luxury. The washing machine was a convenient addition.
The apartment temperature was uncomfortably warm upon arrival, but opening the windows helped regulate it.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The cleanliness was exceptional, and the facilities provided were top-notch. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the shower was excellent in both temperature and water amount. The view from the house and hot tub was breathtaking, and the ability to fill up our own hot tub was great fun. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the price we paid for a private house with a hot tub was the best we found online. Additionally, the location was ideal for us, close enough to the city to be convenient, but far enough away to feel secluded.
There was nothing we didn't like.
